100th Day of School
Tuesday was the 100th day of kindergarten! We had a great time doing many activities that were all about the number 100. The students had so much fun making special necklaces to wear during this exciting day!
Making gumball machines that were filled with 100 gumballs was definitely an activity that they all enjoyed!
Students also had a chance to write about what they would do if they were given $100. There were so many thoughtful and creative ideas being shared!
Valentine's Day
A very special thank you goes out to our wonderful moms that came in to help with our Valentine's Day party! Thank you so much, Mrs. Bradtke, Mrs. Conklin, Mrs. Fernandez, Mrs. Spachner, and Ms. Williams!
Bee-Bots
Thanks to the ABC/25 Foundation, our kindergarten team was given a set of Bee-Bots. Bee-Bots are little robots designed especially for young children. These robots are a perfect tool for teaching sequencing, estimation, problem-solving, and coding. This week during the LMC, we were able to try these out as we programmed the Bee-Bots to find some of our favorite books!
World Read Aloud Day
Thursday was World Read Aloud Day and we were lucky enough to have two 2nd grade students come in as our guest readers. They did a fantastic job reading a book with our favorite characters, Elephant and Piggie!
By the Numbers Assembly
On Friday, we were treated to an amazing assembly thanks to the Dryden PTA. Face to Face Productions presented "By the Numbers," which was a performance featuring Albert Einstein that taught us how math is found in all aspects of our lives. The students were completely engaged in this humorous musical performance!
Me Bags
We have enjoyed getting to know two more of our classmates!
We learned that Kennedy loves books, especially new ones from the book fair!
We learned that Mackinzie loves to play, especially with her flying helicopter!
